My username comes from a game. I was trying to come up with a name I liked for my Lj and I looked over and my little sisters game was sitting next to the computer. Pajama Sam: There is no need to hide when it is dark outside. I liked the sound of darkoutside, so I used it.

I finished my ENGL final this morning. I have two on-line finals due by tomorrow afternoon. I have a music final at 12:30 and then a Science Final Wednesday afternoon. I have written three of four final reviews for my music class (also due at 12:30) and I still have a lesson plan due for my ENGL class by the 10th.
I was freaking about the work and studying, but I have managed to get through most of it with minimal craziness (though [info]meadowhawk and [info]waterfall_sh have seen most if not all of my crazy this week.)
I started the [info]50bookchallenge as of Dec. 1 and I am reading Tales from the Teachers Lounge by Rob Wilder. I think he is hilarious and the stories are also very funny. I'm about half way through it now. I will bump up my reading level over the break because I know I am going to be swamped next semester.
I am taking a 6 credit hour writing class that is required to teach language arts. I've heard horror stories and good stories coming out of Dr. Levy's class so I guess I will have to wait and see.
I start TOSS (teaching of specific subjects) this fall and will hopefully be student teaching by fall '09. Then I'm done!

So tired

Jay and Silent Bob
Saturday night watched movies with [info]butafli and [info]la_pretresse till around 4:00 am. Sunday we woke up around 11:30. Left the house around one and went to Little Five points. We met up with [info]lavender_gurl and spentabout five hours just going through shops. There is one store called something like world market, but they had a little deli in the bcak that was serving all vegan or vegitarian foods with a carribean twist. We got to sample ungoat curry while [info]la_pretresse was accosted by the guy with the anti-bush posters.
We were going to go to earthshaking, but they closed at six so we headed back towards kennesaw for dinner at Bahamma Breeze. After Dinner [info]butafli, [info]la_pretresse, lj-less Michelle and I went and saw the new Underworld movie. I thought it was good though a little too much gore for my taste. Other than that it was a pretty good movie. We went back to my house to get their cars and [info]butafli and [info]la_pretresse decide to stay. We end up still awake around 5:00 this morning. Then when in bed [info]la_pretresse decides to be awake and talkie (hehe). So I fell asleep around 6:30 and woke up at 8:00 (well that is when the alarm went off at least) and I made it to my 10:00 class. Yea me!

Tonight I went to the second sunday series led by[info]blyssmouse and [info]keith_dragon. It was really interesting to hear all the tips on how to remember more of your dreams. After that [info]butafli,[info]lavender_gurl, and I went to the Marietta Diner. We got there around 10:00PM and left around 5:00AM. We were there through two shifts of people. To the point where our waiter had us go ahead and pay because he had to go home.
Driving back to [info]butafli's house we're talking about seeing spirits and other such kind-of-creepy things and out of no where a solid white rabbitt comes shooting out of the bushes and runs inbetween the wheels of my car. Both of us scream and freak out because things popping out of nowhere not so good.
My theory on the hitting the animals thing is I will try to avoid the accident because neither of us (the animal or I) need that, but itf it is me or them I'm not going to swerve off the road risking my life to save the animal. I would go as far as to say if I stop and honk and the animal doesn't move I would probably continue on my way. It is evolution in action. If the animal is too stupid to move then it needs to stop breeding and making stupid babies.
That may be just me, but oh well.

So sleepy...

Today has been long. Woke up walked the dog around 8:00 went to class at like 10:30. spent the rest of the day sewing until my later class. I showed up for my Poli sci class that strated at 4:30 fifteen minutes later still no professor so I start talking to the fairly cute Christiaan kid and two other guys. We all decide to stay hoping that Dr. Barrow will eventually show up and give us our syllabus (which we have yet to recieve). No such luck so we sat there and talked until about six then went our separate ways.
Then, went to Serendipity for classes and was told the for the four people who had never led an esbat were going to get our chance... TONIGHT. That was a little nerve racking at first, but all came out okay I think. Although now that I sit here we should have straightened the living room before we left. I am sorry.
I got home got out of my car pressed the LOCK button. And started to head inside. I then realized that I had just laid my keys on the center consul. So now my keys are in the car along with the spares because I forgot to take them out the last time and now I am locked out of my car with a class tomorrow at 10:00
He's here. Yay to POP-A-LOCK! They do it for almost half the price of the other ten places I called and I might be able to get rembersed by my insurance company.

Friday night I went to PPN with [info]butafli just in time to hug everyone goodbye. So we decided to go downtown an find something to o. We ended up just driving around for about an hour. Then we went to my house and sat and talked for a while.
Saturday I went to [info]blyssmouse's party. It was lots of fun. Played craps most of the night. Had henna done by [info]elizabethjoy it came out really well. Had pictures taken of me in the psuedo Jazz club type dress (thanks to [info]walkingbear) and I will post when I get them.

Started school Thursday. Monday's are my busy days. I love my classes thus far though.

Hauling Wood

Jay and Silent Bob
Today I spent about five hours stacking and spliting about three chords of wood. Not by myself, mind you, but still that was alot of work. With all the fallen trees down here my uncle has put up a shed to dry age the wood so it can be used for fire in the house. The shed is about twenty feet by about ten feet and it is twelve feet high. It is already full so we are expangin out with rebar and tarps. One of the neighbors has a shed almost exactly like it and alot of that wood went there. That is three trailor (not truck) loads of wood. That is enough wood to last one house hold about two years burning continuously through the winter.

Other than helping out on the farm there is nothing to do here. I wish I could catch up on my list of pagan books I need to read, but I fear that would be greatly looked down upon. Instead I am reading a book called "Four Spirits". It is about the civil rights movment in Birmingham and it shows the story through a wide set of characters and is just now begining to weave their stories together.

Again I miss you guys!
